Boracay Manila Caticlan

Transportation To get from Manila to Boracay Island, you must first get to Caticlan. The most used flight company is Asian Spirit, though the prices are not cheap, the services are very good. Alternatively, you can also take a flight from Manila Domestic airport. For those who want to get there in a more relaxing pace, or have a smaller budget, they can take the ferry boat from Manila to Dumaguit, which is situated on the northern side of Panay. First thing that you have to do, is to drive to North Harbor in Manila where the ferries to Dumaguit are stationed. Once you arrive at Dumaguit you can reach Caticlan.either by bus or a jeep.

Once you have reached Caticlan, you have different options to travel to Boracay:

You can fly in small planes for 1 hour to Caticlan and you have the opportunity to appreciate the scenaries because of how low these planes fly. Once you are in Caticlan, you will have to catch a ferry or banca boat for another 20 minutes.

Another option is to take a 1 hour flight on Boeing 737 to another city called Kalibo and take another 1.5 hour to 2 hour air conditioned bus trip which will get you to Caticlan. Then similar to the first option, you will reach Boracay through ferry or boat. The ferry or boat will bring you directly onto the beach. Alternatively you can also get to Boracay purely via ferry either from Manila or from Mindoro. Finally if you are really budget tight, you can also get from Manila to Batangas purely via air conditioned bus and then catch the ferry to the island of Tablas in Romblon Province. Once you are dropped off at the port, you will take a jeep trip across the hills and lastly take another boat trip to your final destination - Boracay.
